THE ARTIST

Simon William’s work draws energy from the image-stimulation of this urban life. He invents aesthetic visual reference points, through the juxtaposition of folds of sweeping dynamic lines, which cross-cut-edit with sharp edges and squeegee flows.

1981-1990 Trained in Fine Art Painting
1990 Moved to London
1990-1993 “Spitting Image”  Animatronic Design Engineer
1993-1996 Lecturer at “Central School of Speech and Drama”, London, designed and ran the first UK course in Theatrical Prop Making, went on to be the head of the Technical Theatre Art Courses.
1996 – Onwards continues as a freelance Animatronic Design Engineer in the British Film Industry, with credits on numerous feature films from “Harry Potter” to the BAFTA award winning  “Star Wars” and working with many industry leaders such as the “Jim Henson Creature Shop”. 
2004 Relocated to Cornwall
